Bureaucracy and Civil Servants in The Stories of Sabahattin Ali

Sabahattin Ali, who is admitted as one of the important storyteller of Turkish Literature, deals generally with Anatolia and Anatolian people from various perspectives with social realistic attitude and a deeply view. In these stories, soldiers and civil servants who work in city, town and villages are examined closer with their mentality, public relations, attitude and behaviors against events/situations. These civil servants, who mostly identify themselves with the state have lost their main personality as well. These attitudes and behaviors have left negative impressions on public and imbedded in social subconscious.
