INFOGRAPHIC DESIGN AS TEACHING AND LEARNING TOOL

The activity article you are reading focuses on using infographic design as a learning and teaching tool. The article, which is a product of a scientific research project in the related subject area, illiustrates the series of activities implemented within the scope of the project. Throughout the activities, it is aimed to create a learning enviroment for students regading research skills, problem solving skills and infographic design skills within a specific subject. Participation in the study was performed on a voluntary basis. In this context, 43 students enrolled in Gazi University Social Studies Teacher Education Program in the 2017-2018 Academic Year have decided to participate in the project. In this study, theoretical lessons and infographic design activities were conducted. Applications were carried out in accordance with a specific plan. The stages, content and ordering of the relevant plan have been determined based on the literature. Activities are applications developed by taking inspiration from the literature. The stages followed in the implementation process include (1) content acquisition, (2) infographic design information, (3) content preparation, (4) content analysis, (5) draft study (6) digital design stages
