A Bibliographic Survey of Turkish Historiography On The History of Timurid State

The Timurid State, which existed for more than 130 years, occupies a very important place in history. It marked the last period of the Middle Ages, even fought with the Ottomans with its power and in this connection, the Ottoman Empire faced the threat of collapse. In the face of this situation, Timur was heavily criticized by the Ottoman chronicles. Many works were written by local and foreign authors about the history of Timur. In this study, we compiled a bibliography of books, articles, reports, etc., which were written by Turkish authors from the Ottoman period to the present day and on whose pages the history of the Timurid State was directly affected. In this area, although many studies have been conducted in Turkey, a cumulative bibliography of these studies has not been compiled. In this context, our article is the first study in Turkey
