The Relationship Between Sportive Self-Confidence Levels and Athletic Identity of Footballers Who Have Amateur and Professional LicensesKeywords: futbol,sporcu kimli?i,sportif kendine güven,profesyonel,amat?r Abstract: The purpose of this study is; participants who have amateur and professional licenses who are playing soccer in professional soccer clubs, evaluate their athlete identities and sporty self-confidence levels in terms of their licence level and their athletic years and try to reveal the relationship between them. A total of 269 football players participated in the survey, who played in the professional football teams in the province of Izmir and those who played in the youth setup of these teams (U19 and U21). In this study, as data collection tools; “Athletic Identity Measurement Scale " developed by Brewer and Cornelius (2001), adapted from Turkish by ?etinkaya (2015) and “Continuous Sports Confidence Scale” developed by Vealey (1986), adapted from Turkish by Y?ld?r?m (2013) were used. The study utilized Two-Way Anavo tests and simple regression analysis. As a result of the analyzes; there was no significant difference between the athletes' identities and level of confidence in sport in terms of the level of licence degree. In terms of sport year, there is no significant difference in sport identity levels; there were significant differences between sportive self-confidence. The joint interactions of the sporting years and the levels of the licences did not cause any significant effect on the sportsmen 's athlete identities and their sportive self-confidence. Moreover, there was no meaningful differences between sportive self-confidence and sportive identity in both professional and amateur licences
