SELECTION OF THE SHOPPING MALL LOCATION WITH MULTI CRITERIA DECISION-MAKING TECHNIQUES BASED ON GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS: A CASE STUDY OF N??DEKeywords: Analitik hiyerar?i süreci,co?rafi bilgi sistemi,?ok kriterli karar verme,mekansal analiz,yer se?imi Abstract: In recent years, the differentiations in the structure and development of cities have begun to occur with the coming of technological developments in production, transportation and communication. The rapid urbanization in the cities has entered into the process of change and transformation. Variations in consumption habits parallel to changing living conditions and technological developments have led to the emergence of shopping malls. While numerous studies exist in many different areas for shopping malls, the spatial reviews for choosing an established location which is one of the most important activities for decision makers are quite limited. Decision makers should consider many alternatives to determine the most appropriate place, taking into account all criteria. In this study, it is aimed to determine the most suitable shopping mall location for Ni?de which is a medium sized city using Multi-Criteria Decision Making Methods with Analytic Hierarchy Method and Geographic Information Systems.
