The Examination of the Level of Alienation and Perceptions of the Fairness of the Learning Environment of Sport Sciences Faculty StudentsKeywords: Beden e?itimi ve spor,adil ??renme ortam?,yabanc?la?ma Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the level of alienation and perceptions of the fairness of the learning environment of sport sciences faculty students in terms of grade point average, departmentand gender. Moreover, it is aimed to reveal the relationship among the level of alienation and perceptions of the fairness of the learning environment of students. Sample of the this study consisted of 618 students (Akdeniz University Sports Science Faculty= 360, Erciyes University School of Physical Education and Sports = 258) in the physical education and sport department, sports management and coaching education. The data were collected used the “Personal Information Form,” the “Fair Learning Environment Questionnaire”) the validity and reliability studies of the questionnaire for Turkish were done by ?zer and Demirta? (2010) was developed by Lizzio et al. (2007) and the “Student Alienation Scale.” Was developed by the ?a?lar (2012). In the analysis of the data; since the data not showed normal distribution, Mann-Whitney was used for paired comparison and Kruskall Wallis test and Spearman correlation test were used in multiple comparisons. According to results, average level of alienation of students is ( =2.87±.54) and average perceptions of the fairness of the learning environment of them is ( =3.39±.68). There was not statistically difference between level of alienation and perceptions of the fairness of the learning environment in terms of gender of the students (p>.05).The sports management department is a high perceptions of the fairness of the learning environment. The alienation score of the coaching education department was found to be significantly higher. There was a statistically significant difference according to the students’ grade point average(p<.05).Significant negative relationship has been found among the level of alienation and perceptions of the fairness of the learning environment of students. When perceptions of the fairness of the learning environment of students increases, the level of alienation of them decreases
