Determination of Attitudes on Renewable Energy Sources of Pre-Service Teachers

This research was conducted to determination of attitudes on renewable energy sources of preservice teachers. In this context, the main material of the study is the data obtained from Düzce University Education Faculty students. In the research, “Attitude Scale for Renewable Energy Resources” was used as a data collection tool. The scale was applied to a total of 421 prospective teachers who were educated in Science Teaching and Classroom Teaching program. The scale has four sub-dimensions in terms of “application request”, “the importance of education”, “country interest” and “environmental awareness and investments”. According to the results, there is no significant difference in terms of gender scores in terms of total scores and sub-dimensions. However, in terms of the “application request” sub-dimensions, it was found that classroom teacher students had a significantly better attitude than science students.
