Analysis of Relationship Institutional Quality and Economic Growth in MENA Countries

The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between institutional quality and economic growth in MENA countries. Political freedoms and governance index was used to represent institutional quality. Inflation rate, population growth, trade, gross capital formation and domestic credit to private sector was used as a control variable in this study. Panel data analysis was performed using 2002-2015 period data. In this study, three different models were used. The results of study achieved are supporting a relationship between the quality govarnence in MENA countries and the economic growth, indicate that there isn’t a relationship between the level of political freedom and the economic growth
