Burial Customs Of Middle and Late Bronze Age In Anatolia

We think that burial customs should be well evaluated and correctly interpreted since the implementation of burial customs is a concept unique to humans, by making simple or specific arrangements with respect to phenomenon of death. In this study, it was aimed to attempt to determine the distinctive features of Middle and Late Bronze Age customs from previous periods by updating the studies that have been carried out so far and presenting them as a whole since burial customs are among the elements of societies that have undergone changes in time. In this context, in parallel with the significant increase in new excavation works conducted in various regions of Anatolia, in this study (3000-1200 BC), Middle and Late Bronze Age Anatolian graves and graveyards were addressed as a whole, enriched with the information obtained by recent excavation works (last decade) and discussed in a new dimension
