Legends As Attractiveness Mot？vator of Tour Gu？des: Legends of Afyonkarahisar

Purpose and Importance: The aim of this study is to compile and present examples from the legends of Afyonkarahisar, which has come from the past to the present, by revealing the importance of legendary narrative which is one of the tools that tourist guides can use to increase the tour attractiveness. This research is important that to reveal the importance of the use of legend in increasing the attraction of the tour and to create a source for the use of Afyonkarahisar legends by tourist guides. Methodology: In this study, the literature search method was used and the information obtained from the studies carried out on the topic was compiled and suggestions were made to the related parties according to the results of the related studies. Findings: In the study, it was reached the information that there are approximately 136 legends about Afyonkarahisar province. These legends are about shrines, mosques and masjids, tombs, dervishes, castles, nature and countryside, stones and rocks, springs, fountains, hot springs, mountains and hills, vineyards and woods, houses and places where people live. Limitations: In the literature review, the legends “Karahisar Castle”, “Healing Water”, “An？tkaya” and “？ahitler Kaya”, which can create source for tourist guides, are included and they are submitted in the study as a descriptive text
