WAR AND PEACE: MORAL D？LEMMAS RELATED TO R？GHT / FA？R WAR

War and peace are the facts of historical and daily life, as well as the main issues and two basic concepts of political philosophy. In terms of the history of political philosophy, it has always been easier to define war than peace because it refers to a situation in which peace must be created or established. But the war also needed to be philosophically and morally justified in the historical process. The study, first of all, summarizes attempts at a philosophical interpretation of the concepts of war and peace in the course of the historical process. Afterward, the contextual and formal dilemmas related to Kantian eternal peace are discussed. Finally, the study tries to show the dilemmas of just or fair war, which is tried to be morally justified in the discussions of contemporary political philosophy
