An Investigation on Time Management Understandings of High School Students who Engage or don’t Engage in Sports

The purpose of this study was to investigate high school students’ time management understandings who are engaging in sports or not. 140 high school stundets, who attended Hatay Mustafa Kemal University School of Physical education and Sports Special Ability Exam, participated in the study. To collect data Turkish version of Time Management Scale was used. The Turkish version is a self report scale consisted of 27 items and three factors. The data analyzed by using SPSS 16 package program for windows. To analyze data independent samples t test, one way ANOVA and Perason Correlations tests were used. As a result it was found that the time management understandings of the participants significantly changed according to engaging in a sports, daily traning duration and weekly training days. However, no significant correlations were found between the participants’ time management understandings and GPA
