Research of Trad?t?onal Spec?al Day Clothes of Womens in DüzceKeywords: Düzce,Geleneksel k?yafet,Kad?n,?zel gün Abstract: Clothing as a material cultural heritage is one of the most important elements reflecting the traditions and customs of a nation. In the early ages, the need for dressing to protect and cover up nature activities became evident by the change in civilization level and living conditions. In addition, the forms of dressing are shaped by the cultural values of the society they are in, and they have distinctive features from other societies. Having been host to many civilizations for centuries, Anatolia, which has been under the influence of different cultures, also has its own traditional clothing, which causes the differences of clothing even on the same side, even between the center and the village. The traditional clothes of our cultural heritage, which are faced with extinction in the globalizing world over time, have a significance in shedding light on period and local characteristics, examining and documenting them with a scientific approach and transferring them to future generations, forming a daily bridge from the past. Purpose of the research; to examine and introduce traditional cloths, traditional dresses, dresses, colors, designs, ornaments and model features of traditional (regional) special day women's dresses in coffers in private collections. At the same time, it is expected that the traditional characteristics of clothes and their decoration will be reflected in contemporary clothes designs and the origin of original designs will be a source for fashion designers. It is hoped that cultural values will be experienced on this occasion. In addition to its strategic location in the western part of Anatolia and the great steps on its way to industrialization, Düzce has a very colorful clothing culture with its migrations and history. Special day clothes were searched from traditional women's clothes by taking samples from different nationalities wearing special occasions in Düzce. The clothes are in the direction of the created observation sticks; the materials used are examined in terms of color, model, cutting, sewing, lining and decoration properties, and photographed and visualized
