Abstract: As a result of new developments in the early 1990s and the end of the Cold War, a number of early developments and the disappearance of the international bipolar system in the former Soviet areas, also the former Yugoslavia and in many different parts of the world, small, medium or large scale political and military conflicts began to emerge. These conflicts not only constituted the agenda of the world countries but also the agenda of the international organizations which were established after World War II and played an active role in shaping the international problems in favor of the big states. One of these organizations is the OSCE, it is one of the largest security organizations in the world with its 56 member countries. The European Security and Cooperation Conference (CSCE) was established under the name of this structure, has increased after the dissolution of Yugoslavia and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). In the aftermath of the disintegration of these states, conflicts occurred on the territory of the CSCE member countries. It was seen that the majority of the conflicts in this period occurred in the geography of the member countries of the OSCE and at the Budapest Summit in 1994, the OSCE became an international organization and took the name of the OSCE and played a role as a more effective security organization in its region. During this period, the OSCE has carried out studies on the political, military, economic-environmental and humanitarian dimensions of security and introduced the concept of three-dimensional security and started to take a role in the resolution of conflicts. When we look at the historical process, OSCE focused on the prevention of conflicts, resolving conflicts, returning to the normal process after the conflict and developing its organization in this direction. In our study, I tried to intercept the role of the OSCE in the international arena, its history, and its activities in some regions around the World. With these interpretations, we aim to gain a better understanding of the role of the OSCE and its role in the international arena
