Abstract:

Today, changes in social order, globalization, changes in technological and economic developments have changed people's living conditions. This leads to the existence of female employees in the workforce. Thus, participation of women in business life is also increasing. Recent studies have shown that women are increasingly involved in business life. However, this participation is low at lower levels and lower at higher levels. There are several factors that lead to this. One of these factors, the glass roof syndrome, has been developed to describe the difficulties women experience in their careers. The Sensitive Base Theory, which is to be addressed here, is defined as a closer approach to the management duties that women will want to work by dedicating more time to their responsibilities towards the home because of their intense feelings towards the family, depending on the innate maternal consent. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the contribution of variables such as marital status, children's ownership, children's ages and the employed sector, which suggests that a new concept, the Sensitive Base Theory, is not willing to be a manager of the women due to family responsibilities. In the scope of the study, face-to-face questionnaires were collected on women working in public and private sectors in Kastamonu. SPSS 23 program was used for the obtained data. Factor analysis and t Test were used in the study. According to the analysis results, there was no significant difference between the public and private sectors and the age of the children. The marital status was found to be a significant difference between children's ownership and Sensitive Base Theory
