Examination of The Relationship Between 7th Grade Students' Creative Writing Skills And Linguistic Skills

The purpose of this research is to examine whether the creative writing skills of the students differ according to their various linguistic skills. In our research was used survey model. The sample of the research consists of eighty students from four different classes who read in the 7th grade of a public school in Sivas province center. The research began with a creative writing work done by students in social studies. .The data obtained from this study were scored with the help of rubrik developed by ？ztürk (2007). After the homogeneity of the distribution of the groups and the normality of the distribution of the data were checked, the mean values and standard deviation values of the obtained data were examined. One way analysis of variance and the Tukey Test were used to check whether the difference between the mean values obtained is meaningful. As a result of the research, it was observed that the students' creative writing skills had a meaningful difference in terms of their linguistic skills. According to this result, students who have developed linguistic skills have also achieved the development of creative writing skills
