Evaluation of Ab？ Ali Al-Kali’s Book Named Al-Bari’ In The Context Discipline of Gar？b Al-Hadith

The fact that the language of the two sources of Islam (Quran and hadith) is Arabic has attracted the attention of linguisty. Some linguistic scholars have made studies on morphology, syntax and rhetoric and others have received works describing unknown words/gar？b in the hadiths. Gar？b al-Hadith is a subdiscipline of the hadith which deals the meanings of the words conveyed in narrations. In the early periods, this subject was expressed in dictionaries and some sources of hadith but later self-contained studies related to the meaning of the words in the hadiths started to reveal. One of these works is the work of al-Bari’ of Abu Ali al-Kal？, who was born in Malazgirt in 288/901 and died in 356/967. This work is basically a dictionary work that explains the meanings of the unknomn words in the Arabic language. However, there are many hadiths at a considerable level in the work. The methodology of the paper will be as follows: Firstly, the information about history of Gar？b al-Hadith and al-Kali’s life was given after that some hadiths were determined and studied in his work al-Bari’. Secondly, the sufficiency of the work was discussed in terms of Gar？b al-Hadith
