The way these parables are told is appropriate to the main ideas and general issues of the surah; the parables are told in a style which serves for the purpose of the surah, and the relevant part of the parable is highlighted. One example is the parable about the angel of mercy and the angel of torment who came to Prophet Abraham before destroying the people of Prophet Lut; they gave him the good news that his wife would give birth to a boy. This story was told in different surahs of the Quran, but the relevant part of the story was told in other ways to serve the exact purpose of each surah; different expressions and phrases are chosen according to this. Even though they are all telling the same parable and using similar expressions, no expression was repeated identically in different surahs, and represented the images of a living museum from seperate angles. In this study, we will first examine the parable about the envoys or guests who came to Prophet Abraham according to tafseer and history books. Then, we will investigate the similar and different features in the literary phrases of the parable
