E？？L？MLER？N ？NCELENMES？ RENEWABLE ENERGY INVESTMENTS AND FINANCING METHODS IN TURKEY: INVESTIGATION OF PAST AND PRESENT TRENDS

In today's, when the countries around the world are examined, it is seen that the population and the needs are increasing, the changes and developments experienced in the technology and in-dustry are gaining speed and the need for energy increases. On the other hand, fossil energy reserves around the world are rapidly depleted. This situation directed the developed countries towards re-newable energy sources and accelerated the works in this field. who closely follow global developments in Turkey, it has initiated a series of studies to meet energy needs from these sources. In this context, it has carried out various reforms in order to reduce public sector share in the energy sector and tried to involve the private sector in this field. In this context, it has introduced legislation regulations, incentive laws and R & D support mechanisms to direct private entrepreneurs to the sector. On the other hand, Turkey has completed its work and identify potential renewable energy resources, has set strategic goals for the future economic be-nefits of these resources and potential. The aim of this study was to examine in a historical context of developments in the renewable energy sector in Turkey and to put forward the idea of a map on re-newable energy investments and financing.
