Who is Saadi Shirazi?

Saadi is one of the greatest poets of the Persian literature. He was born in Shiraz and used the pseudonym of Saadi. He received his education in the Nizamiyye Madrasah and travelling took a great part of his life. He met many poets, men of literature, sufis, and religious scholars and had the chance of making conversations with them. He wrote “Gulistan” and “Bustan” two literary works renowned in the World. He was a man of sensitive spirit, gentle heart, subtle wit and unyielding faith. He would care to praise and advise goodness; depriciate and caution against evil.
