Method: This research is methodological. The sample consisted of 537 students who were studying at all departments of the School of Health Sciences at a private university. Research data were obtained from 1 November to 1 December 2016, by using the knowledge form and draft scale. In the statistical analysis of the data obtained, descriptive statistics, Cronbach’s Alpha and Pearson Correlation tests for reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis for construct validity were used. Findings: Consequently, the scale has 21 items and four factors; The importance given to health consisted of, healthy nutrition, access to health-related resources and health priority. The total variance of the scale was 54.25% and in the test-retest analysis of the scale (n = 30), the Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient was .90, there was a significant correlations relationship between the average score of two applications (r:.992, p<.001). Conclusion: Within the scope of this study, the tool developed to measure the healthy life skills of university students were found to be valid and reliable
