Innovation Strategies and Business Performance Relationship A Study on Exporting Firms

Today's world enterprises are forced to innovate to gain competitive advantage. Innovation is developing new strategies to differentiate from competitors. Innovation strategies can have different effects in different sectors. Measuring the effects of innovation strategies in exporting firms can benefit the country's economy. The purpose of the study is to examine the effects of innovation strategies applied by exporting enterprises on business performance. When the literature is examined, it is seen that there are a limited number of studies examining the relationship between innovation strategies and business performance. It is thought that this study will contribute to the writing in this direction. The research universe constitutes exporting firms operating in Kayseri. Quantitative research method was used in the research and data were collected through questionnaires. 74 valid return has been obtained. The data were analyzed in the SPSS 23.0 program. As a result, aggressiveness, future orientation and proactivity have a meaningful relationship between business performance, there was no significant relationship between analysis, defense and risk taking and business performance
