Transition to Modeling After Completion of ERP Installation Process

In recent years, there has been an increase in the tendencies of enterprises towards information technology-based systems. It is believed that the benefits of information systems to enterprises are effective in increasing this interest. In this context, the information system that the companies are looking for and which has a large module is Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The use of ERP systems, which provides an effective information flow, is increasing day by day by reaching the right information in the business rapidly. ERP systems are used as data base in enterprises and coordinates information sharing in an integrated manner and ensure that employees at different departments reach information simultaneously. At this point, product coding which will be included in the ERP system comes to the fore. After the installation phase, system analysis is the most basic work that needs to be done. In this study, a company in the agricultural machinery industry was selected for the use of ERP applications. This sector has been dealt with due to the wide product variety of the firms in the agricultural machinery industry, the seasonal and stock ratios of the production density, the efficiency of the planning disruptions, and the elimination of the similarities. ERP system to be adapted to this company at the point of the most basic work to be done after the analysis of the system, the product was adapted to the ERP system, the preparation of product codes. Raw material, semi-finished products, products and materials were examined in terms of their characteristic features and modeling studies were carried out with specific information about the products. With this study, it was wanted to be an example in ERP coding studies for the other companies that will use ERP software in agricultural machinery industry sector
