THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMOTIONAL LABOR AND BURNOUT

Defining emotional labor and burnout levels properly in a business or an institution becomes a significant step for future plans, strategy, and precautions. Therefore, the aim of this study is to find out the relation between emotional labor and burnout levels of the personnel in Yalova Ministry of Family and Social Policies Provincial Directorate and subsidiaries, and to determine sensitive relations of the personnel and the petitioners and to sort out this relation and its consequences. For this purpose, emotional labor and Maslach Burnout inventory was applied to 238 people working in the Ministry of Family and Social Policies. 221 questionnaire forms were evaluated and analyses of the questionnaires have concluded that the personnel in the Yalova Directorate of Family and Social Policies has shown the most effective and intimate behaviors which have the least negative results in terms of emotional labor for themselves and organization and for this reason their burnout level is low
