The Socio-Cultural and Economic Contribution of Hitit University to ？orum Province Evaluation On Students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Hitit University

Universities are the most effective factor in decreasing poverty, raising economic growth, producing skilled human resource, occurring a healthy and conscious social environment and self-raising nations. In our country, there has been important universalization movement in recent years. University has been opened in everywhere, and small-scale universities are transformed larger universities by expanding their units. Thus, it is intended to develop of regions as socio-cultural and economic by reducing the development gap between the regions. In this study, contribution of Hitit University to the economy and socio-cultural structure of the province of ？orum was investigated. While the study was carried out, the views of the students of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences were used as a sample group. The findings obtained from the surveys applied to 402 students show that the university contributes positively to the economy of ？orum province. Some of the findings obtained are increase in demand, increase in employment and increase in income level. In terms of socio-cultural, there was no complete fusion between the university and the people of the province.
