It's possible to encounter to lost of tangible civilization remnants in Batum and Acara region where Ottomons handled for long years. In addition to these tangible civilization remmanats, Ottomans have left an important mark in the region. Purpose of this research is, besides educational instiitutions in this region, to evaluate the informations about the educational environment of Ottoman, Batum scholars, taken lessons and employment areas. Also, this information has been provided about madrasahs and primary-middle schools which maintained the'r educational activity in Sancak of Lazistan, with the help of the supplementary informations which come from Sicill-i Ahval documents and Trabzon province's annuals and has been also evaluated educational environments of the scholars
