LANGUAGE CHANGE AND LANGUAGE USE OF TELEVISION PRESENTERS

Cultural transformation in Turkey has entered a more rapid transformation as globalization has become more obvious after 1980, technological developments in the field of communication and the launching of private channels. Because the language is a living being, the cultural transformation first shows itself to the ground. The use of language by the speakers, who are regarded as linguistic representatives, gains importance in the change due to the power of the mass media. Basic problems of work, the change in the outcome as a result of cultural change, the way language is spoken by public channels and private channels, and the difference in language usage, and the use of language, which has changed over the television in general. For this purpose, qualitative content analysis was apllied to sample of total thirty programs from 2006 composed by morning programs and evening news of state TV channel TRT and private channels Kanal D and ATV. Language change has multidiciplinary area which include lingustics, communication, sociology etc. The presenters' speaking were examined as not linguistic analysis, but with communication analysis, while the differences between the public and private channels were found
