Distance Education Perceptions of Prospective Teachers

Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to examine the distance education perceptions of pre-service teachers according to gender, number of students studying, class level of education, distance education courses and whether or not to find distance education required. The study was carried out with prospective teacher candidates studying in Computer Education and Instructional Technology, Primary Education and Science Education departments of Sakarya University. Of the teacher candidates in the study group, 96 (31.5%) were male and 206 (68.5%) were female. In the study, Remote Learning Perception Scale developed by Gündüz (2013) was used. According to the results of the study, the results of the T-Test and Anova were compared to the female candidates according to the gender variable. On the other hand, it was concluded that there was no significant difference in terms of the level of the classroom level in which the distance education courses were taken and the education level
