Provincial Directorate of Youth Services and Sports Employees’ Comments and Suggestions about Identification of Recreation Facilities and Services Offered to the Public in the City Center

The purpose of this study was to determine provincial directorate of youth services and sports employees’ comments and suggestions about identification of recreation facilities and services offered to the public in the city center. Participants of the study were one branch manager, one sportive education specialist and one trainer. The study was designed as qualitative study and case study method was chosen for identifying and evaluating details that constitute an event. Data were collected by face to face interviews and questions which were about sportive recreation facilities and services offered by participants’ institutions were administered verbally. Content analysis method was used for collected data which were coded particularly. After coding, five themes were emerged which were existing services and facilities, demands, assessments, being aware of public and inter-institutional cooperation. According to results, participants expressed that even their institutions offered sportive recreation facility and services, they are not sufficient for the use of public. They also expressed that new service and facilities planning requests should be in writing which allows institution to move more systematic and faster while evaluating requests. It was also indicated that participants were actively attended to evaluation process of requests, and they aimed both individually and institutionally to cooperate with local management in order to increase awareness. As a conclusion, it may be said that institutions and organizations that provide sportive services should employ individuals graduating field of sport. These employment process should be organized through both needs of contemporary planning and program and taking more realistic and innovator future steps
