Pneumoscrotum is a rare condition described as the
accumulation of air within the scrotum. We report the case of a patient with
acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) with Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia who developed a secondary
pneumoscrotum as a complication of volutrauma from mechanical
ventilation.
