With the development of Chengdu business district, the roof space of
office buildings and their podium buildings has been greatly utilized. Through field
investigation, the roof space of office buildings in Chengdu is divided into
three types by taking photos and observing records, and the problems of
functional zoning, plant configuration and functional facilities are
summarized. And through the on-site questionnaire to the working group,
understand the basic situation and behavior characteristics of the main users
of the roof space in the urban business district. Based on the basic situation
of field observation and the analysis of questionnaire results, the existing
problems of roof space in Chengdu business district are analyzed: 1) excessive
pursuit of commercial benefits; 2) lack of novelty in plant allocation; 3) the facilities
are relatively simple. Corresponding to the problem, the paper puts forward
some suggestions for optimizing the roof space of Chengdu business district.
