Abstract:

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common gynecological endocrine disorder in women of childbearing age, significantly affecting women’s reproductive health. In recent years, the incidence of PCOS has been increasing annually, a trend that has attracted widespread attention from domestic and foreign scholars. PCOS patients are often closely associated with components of metabolic syndrome (MetS) such as obesity, insulin resistance, and dyslipidemia. The presence of one or more components of MetS in PCOS patients often exacerbates the progression of the disease. This article provides a review of the research on the relationship between PCOS and the various components of MetS.
