Abstract:

《飞鸟集》是泰戈尔的代表作之一,也被认为是他的经典诗集之一。国内目前对翻译诗集《飞鸟集》的研究,不但数量少,且主要集中在文本翻译策略和赏析等方面,很少探究《飞鸟集》的翻译策略与所产生社会文化影响之间的关联。故本文以《飞鸟集》在中国的翻译、接受、传播和影响为研究对象,从郑振铎、陆晋德、冯唐所译的三种不同译本入手,探究影响不同译本在目标语文化接受的文本与非文本因素,从而对影响译文在目标语文化中的接受与影响的相关因素有更全面的了解。研究发现,《飞鸟集》的众多汉译本中,郑振铎的译本在中国接受度最高,冯唐的版本次之,陆晋德译本的接受度最低,背后原因虽一定程度上源自翻译策略差异所造成的不同翻译文本语言风格与文体特征上的差异,但译本产生的时代背景、译者风格等非文本因素对译本的传播和接受也影响较大。
Stray Birds is one of Tagore’s seminal works and is considered one of his classic poetry collections. Current domestic research on the translated collection of Stray Birds is not only scarce but also primarily focused on textual translation strategies and appreciation, with little exploration into the correlation between the translation strategies of The Stray Birds and its sociocultural impact. Therefore, this paper takes the translation, acceptance, dissemination, and influence of Stray Birds in China as its research subject. It delves into the textual and non-textual factors affecting the acceptance of different translations by Zheng Zhenduo, Lu Jinde, and Feng Tang in the target culture, thereby providing a more comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing the acceptance and impact of translations in the target culture. The research found that among the many Chinese translations of Stray Birds, Zheng Zhenduo’s version has the highest acceptance in China, followed by Feng Tang’s version, with Lu Jinde’s translation being the least accepted. The reasons behind this, to some extent, stem from differences in translation strategies, leading to variances in language style and textual characteristics of different translated texts. However, non-textual factors like the era in which the translation was produced and the translator's style also significantly impact the dissemination and acceptance of the translations.
