Abstract:

地图符号是传递地理信息的核心介质,地图符号设计是地图设计中的关键环节。随着自动化制图、大众制图的发展,地图符号设计是否合理目前尚处于参考标准的阶段,个性化的地图符号设计则面临着缺乏标准、任意性强等问题,亟需一种方法指引在大众制图过程中的地图符号设计效果。结合国内外涉及地图符号的研究基础,以符号学中的皮尔斯三元符号观为理论基础,构建地图符号指标体系框架,采用模糊综合评判法对专题地图的符号设计效果进行了评价,并通过专家打分法进行了比较。结果发现:该评价方法基本与专家打分法的结果一致,因此可以在自动制图和大众制图方面进行推广应用。
Map symbols are the core medium for transmitting geographic information, and map symbol design is a key link in map design. With the development of automated mapping and mass mapping, the rationality of map symbol design is still in the stage of standardization. Personalized map symbol design faces problems such as lack of standards and strong arbitrariness, and there is an urgent need for a method to guide the effectiveness of map symbol design in the mass mapping process. Based on the research foundation of map symbols both domestically and internationally, and Pierce’s ternary symbol view in semiotics as the theoretical foundation, a framework of map symbol indicator system was constructed. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to evaluate the symbol design effect of thematic maps, and the expert scoring method was used for comparison. The results showed that the evaluation method was basically consistent with the expert scoring method, so it can be promoted and applied in automatic mapping and mass mapping.
