“怀乡”与“行思”——论废名早期小说的两种路径

Abstract:
京派作家中,废名以其极具田园风情的乡土书写引人瞩目。与同一时期的乡土小说不同,废名早期的写作并不可被归入“冲击—反应”这一乡土文学之典型模式的主流,而是由其个人经验出发,于具体的写作实践中发展为两条路径。本文以废名写于1920年代的小说为主要考察对象,认为其早期的小说创作实则存在两种不同的路径,一为兼具抒情审美情怀的“怀乡”书写,二为关注与思考社会现实问题的“行思”书写。笔者认为,在对废名小说“抒情性”与“地方性”的主流认识之下,这两条路径彰显了废名对于“人”之存在与“人的文学”这一新文学观念的思考,成就了废名的独异性。经由此种认识,废名于1920年代对乡土、革命及自身所处社会环境的思考与其早期小说的复杂性才得以显现。
Among the writers of Beijing School, Fei Ming attracted attention for his pastoral writing. Different from the local novels of the same period, Fei Ming’s early writing can not be classified as the main trend of “Impact-reaction”, which is the typical mode of local literature, there are two paths in the concrete writing practice. Based on Fei Ming’s novels written in the 1920s, this paper argues that there are two different approaches to Fei Ming’s early novels, the second is to pay attention to and think about the social reality of the “Thinking or Action” writing. The author thinks that under the mainstream understanding of “Lyricism” and “Locality” in Fei Ming’s novels, these two paths show Fei Ming’s thinking about the existence of “Human” and the new literary concept of “Human’s literature”, and result in Fei Ming’s uniqueness. Through this understanding, Fei Ming’s reflections on the 1920s, the revolution and his social environment, as well as the complexity of his early novels, can be seen.
