this paper undertakes a comparison of theories of truth and the solutions to the paradox of the liar advanced by thomas bradwardine (c. 1290-1349), jean buridan (c. 1295-1358), and alfred tarski (1901-1983). in addition, it offers a brief criticism to read's point of views as expounded in his paper: the liar and the new t-schema.
