Abstract:

this paper presents the design of a virtual undergraduate course of cell biology and its implementation in the moodle platform. the degree of satisfaction by the students is also analyzed through a satisfaction questionnaire. a total of 223 students voluntarily participated in the virtual course and completed the questionnaire. this information allowed determining the perception of the students about the virtual environment. the students had a positive acceptance and appreciation for the virtual course as an important complement to the face-to-face class. also, more active participation in the classroom was observed and better academic performance was achieved.
