Abstract:

this program aimed to study children?s fears using drawing as fundamental tool. the sample was made of twenty-four primary education children from both genders, who integrated two groups (control and experimental) to carry out a quasi experimental design in three stages: pre-intervention, intervention and post-intervention. amongst the most important findings we highlight as common fear objects at that age: darkness, monsters, ghosts, witches and skulls (mommies, skeletons). the relation between the characteristic of the drawing and the fears expressed by the children was verified, which were less intense in the experimental group once the pedagogical intervention was performed.
