Abstract:

this article exposes a theoretical-practical reflection on the implications that promoting and encouraging reading raises within the context of initial education when this one is made of elderly citizens meaningful to children. a pedagogical proposal is suggested that pretends to: promote the social practice of aesthetic reading, motivate volunteering grandparents? participation, providing them with tools to act as reading cheerleaders and to strengthen the children-family-school relationship. it is concluded that there is a need to develop a task between pre-schools and the state to educate volunteer cheerleaders on literature reading in both rural and urban spaces, spanning conventional and unconventional attention.
