the spanish clinical practice guidelines (cpg) on pressure ulcers has proliferated in recent times but the quality and scientific rigor is doubted. however, it is considered as a working tool for decision making in clinical practice. method: quality appraisal of the spanish cpg on pressure ulcers through the agree instrument. results and conclusions: the average quality of the cpg is low. the worst areas are the rigor, the participation and the applicability. there are only two areas in which more than 50% of the cpg achieve excellence: the scope and objectives and clarity. there is one cpg that stands out over the others.
