Novas configura？？es no meio rural brasileiro: Uma análise a partir das propriedades com agroindústria familiar

the brazilian rural areas has witnessed several changes in its spaces, has been possible observe a significant addition in the number of family farmers occupied in the industrialization of the farm production. although the proliferation of this strategy, there are few studies devoted to this thematic. therefore, the objective of this paper is to understand the forms how the family agrofood industry change the configuration of the farm and the rural areas, focusing the empirical analysis in 45 enterprises situated in the region of miss？es, state of rio grande do sul, brazil. the results point that the strategy of agro-industrialization in family farm contribute in the formation of new identities and formats for the rural areas, showing significant alterations in the family composition, succession of the patrimony, rural exodus, agrarian structure and productive diversification.
