La Patagonia en los libros de lectura de la escuela primaria de Río Negro y Neuquén 1956-1962: Imágenes y representaciones: entre la realidad y el mitoKeywords: school texts, patagonia, teaching of geographie, school representations, elementary school. Abstract: the study of the school texts as reflex of the pedagogic influences and political intentions, it supposes a new horizon inside the field of search of the school reality in the measurement that increasingly is got to know what has happened inside the classrooms, it what divides from the culture it has been selected for its transmission, how they have been the spaces, the contents, the books, the methods. in this line of analysis our lens is to analyze the representations that on the patagonia are they present in the texts (manual and books of reading). of a documentary corpus of twenty-four books of reading, edited between 1956-1962, we have selected to be employed at this article ten readings punctually recounted to the patagonia which contents raise its geographical location; they use the comparison with some europa's places to describe the landscape, linking it to tourist possibilities of the zone; or they refer to the famous legend of los cesares, one of the most fantastic myths, which formed early part of the imaginary argentinian. the construction of this region, of its inhabitants, of its possibilities they appear across key concepts that they present like opposite: desert /civilization; barbarian /civilized aridity/impressive beauty; inhospitable/ fertile; empty/ progress, that like map indiciario they allow to be identifying possible representations.
