Actividad Varroocida del timol en colonias de Apis mellifera L. de la provincia de Santa Fe

miticide activity of thymol on varroa destructor anderson & trueman mite in an apiary in production was evaluated in 2006 and 2008. thymol, in commercial formulation naturalvar？ at doses of 32.12 g applied every 15 days in two divided doses of two tablets of vermiculite placed on the heads of the frames of the brood chambers, showed an efficacy of 81% in 2006 and 82% in 2008, respectively. . these results suggested that thymol could be considered as an effective organic product for varroosis control within a program of integrated pest management.
