Abstract: digital texts are an important part of communication in the information society and they have been recently included as language and communication contents in chile. in this situation, it is possible to wonder if traditional textual approaches made from the printed text at 70's and 80's and used now in secondary school, are pertinent in the case of hypertext. this paper describes some text features and attempt to raise the possibility of applying hypertext concepts like textuality, textual competence and text typology in secondary education.
