Un contexto para la comunicación pública de la ciencia y la tecnología en Colombia: de las herencias eurocéntricas a los modelos para la acción

public communication of science and technology has been consolidated in colombia as a practical field and research field. theory and empiric advances in democratization of knowledge are well-known, that deal with ethnocentric heritages and political, socio-economic and academic elitisms, which often are tacit. this paper discusses some of those problems, some models used in public communication of science and technology and some of its connections with communication studies. all of this on the basis of historical and socio-cultural elements that can contribute to the analysis of the gap between those fields, with the purpose to give clues to make easier their symbiosis and their repercussions in public policies in colombia.
