from a perspective that takes place in ivan illich′s ideas aboutthe notion of proportionality, this article refers to the idea of limits or thresholds asa necessary element for the reconstruction of a multicultural world. but, also inspiredby illich, it takes distance from cientific-professional practices of production ofstatements that have nothing to do with popular practices. from outside and fromthe top is not possible to reconstruct "a world where many worlds can coexist".this doesn′t mean that the search for new social paradigm is something simple.nonetheless, the search is so deep that leads us even to reintroduce the experienceof sacredness, as described by mircea eliade in traditional societies, as an epistemicprinciple for that "other" possible world.
