Abstract: there is more and more traffic at the junction of genomic and social sciences, a complex pattern of intersecting questions, studies, and research possibilities. this busy intersection is likely to become only heavier in the near future. what does this mean for such social sciences as psychology and education? in this essay these issues are explored using the research on the genetic etiology of reading ability and disability as an illustration.
