The research advances of adding extra carbon sources to denitrification for constructed wetlands

carbon sources acting as electron donor for denitrification is the main factor of the denitrification process in constructed wetland system, When C/N ratio in water is very low, it is therefore reasonable to supply external carbon sources to improve the denitrification process. This paper elaborated the research progress of carbon sources supplement in denitrification of constructed wetland system, made a comparison on efficiency among different external carbon sources and sketched a prospect for the research of denitrification in constructed wetland.
