Predicting and tracing of the thin sand bodies in the Liaohe oilfield

The turbidite fan, channel sand and the fan delta in the Liaohe basin and its outside basins in the long geologic history time are thin. In order to locate accurately the position of the well, we applied the log restraint inversion, seismic attribute analysis and frequency division analysis to predict the distribution and the shape of the different thin sand and the gas-bearing sand. We have carried out tests by drilling and obtained good results.
