Short-term Outcomes of Total Knee ArthroplastyKeywords: Total Knee Replacement , Knee Society Scoring System Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the results of recent applications of our hospital underwent total knee replacementMaterials and Methods: Between August 2006 and January 2008 Egirdir Bone Joint Disease Treatment and Rehabilitation Hospital 2 Orthopedic Clinic Gonarthrosis 56 of 50 patients diagnosed with total knee replacement were indexed. The mean age was 68.6. Female patients were used in 36 cases, 14 were male. The average follow-up period was 34 months. None of the cases the patella is not changed. Knee Society scoring system was used in evaluation.Results: The evaluation of the patients was done according to the Knee Society scoring system. Excellent Results 35 knees (62.5%), 16 knees good (28.5%), three knees medium (5.3%) and two (3.7%) knees were bad. Conclusion: Total knee arthroplasty for patients at the appropriate time (after non-surgical treatment options) when there is a good treatment option.
